i think winter finally came to chicago last night. the first snow has fallen and most of us are ready for spring. i personally like winter, in most parts, but in the city it makes a mess. at home (in PA) winter signaled the time of x-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding and enjoying the beauty of a crisp morning on the mountainsides as the frosty fog lifts and the world is covered in a fresh blanket. the snow covers the dead greys of late fall and brings forth a new world to be explored. i say welcome winter, i just wish i was somewhere a bit more scenic to celebrate it's coming.
i wonder, why would god not have made snow to fall in warm weather. think of snowboarding in the colorado mountians with shorts and a t-shirt, that would rock! anyway, i hope you stay warm and safe as the snow begins to fall!
