back from the brink

so i'm pretty sure i died a little bit over the last 60hrs or so. i woke up on wed. morning feeling a little off but headed down to the coffee shop around 6am. by 10 i was about ready to fall over, pounding head, beginnings of fever, and general nastiness. the next 36hrs were pretty much spent on my back, somewhere between sleep and delirium. this morning was back on my feet and back at it while still feeling the nagging sickness. all this did bring me to a point of thought, however.

do we ever really think about what we buy at restaurants? track with me here thru my medicated thoughts... on wed. while at the shop i made plenty of drinks, sandwiches, and other consumables while all the time growing increasingly sicker by the minute. no biggy, right? well, how much of that did i breathe on/ or somehow pass along all the joy i just experienced to those around me? don't get me wrong, we do our very best to keep the shop clean and healthy, but really do we ever think about what goes on with our stuff before it comes out on that nice little plate in the restaurant? i'm totally not a germ freak by any means...just sayin. that's it, nothing earth shattering
just ponderable...

would you want this guy making your next sandwich?
and yes fans, that is the air hockey legend t-shirt...
