a days wage

i was helping an elderly neighbor across the hall do some work on her apartment today. nothing major, just changing a light and some batteries but what a wage for my couple of minutes work. i recieved an orange and a mr.goodbar! with the further promise of cookies to come!

spring break has dulled my thinking abilities, so the blogs are few and far between. i have been listening a lot to a guy named erwin mcmanus. he has a podcast from his church in california called mosaic. the last couple of weeks they've been doing a series called chasing daylight. he's been talking about jonathan (king saul's son) and making the most of each day that we've been given. i think too often i waste the day and it's been a good eye opener to think about the urgency of each moment.

i pray that our days would be filled with urgency. each day is not guarenteed...something to think about.
