my first opera

so yesterday i was a stagehand for the first time on an opera. my good friend chris, who works for roosevelt university (a classical music school in chicago), invited me to join him on the production side of a major show they did on monday. it was a good 17 hour day with travel but such a blast to work behind the scenes with some set design and helping the show run. i'm not sure of the actual title of the show but it was all in italian and very funny.

the college has amazingly gifted students, both musically and artistically. the performing arts are not especially my cup of tea but as an artist i could very much appreciate the effort and beauty of the piece (especially with one of the best seats in the house!)

so anyway i'm just putting it out there that i'm into opera! good times indeed.
