finals!?

the insanity the end of semester finals has descended upon mbi. the classes wrapped up today and this next week holds the joy of being tested on all our work. today i have one particular final on the book of romans that i am especially not looking forward to...
i have issues with the whole testing thing...does it really work? i feel like i cram (well not really, i'm not a grade freak by any stretch of the imagination) but then i remember nothing of what i studied for. this prof gives us a study guide that looks like nothing we studied at all during this whole semester.
so here's my question, at the college level, why do we have tests? the vast majority of people agree that test taking is just a matter of regurgitating knowledge, which at mbi is like trying to drink from a fire hose. i guess i'm just frustrated but who can buck the system? at least two of my profs have gone to the final paper method instead of a test which i must say is very favorable in my opinion! to all the other test takers this week and next, hang in there!

Hey phil! Good luck with finals next week. I'm all done except for a final paper due on Tuesday. Hope you have a good break too! The snow is insane here!

Thanks Phil! Hope you do well too. I have 3 finals that I'm aware of...our other prof. hasn't told us yet if we have a final or not! It bugs me. I think we should get rid of tests, students would enjoy school more. :)
