nothing

now that the semester is over my brain is in shutdown. i've been trying to think of something to blog on tonight but nothing's coming up. so instead i decide to pursue the thougth of nothingness. is there really such a thing? nothingness is a fallacy, in everything there God alone yet exists, without him there is nothing but in him is everything.
i have to laugh at the agnostic, those who claim there is no god. the very fact that they have an understanding of "god" proves a certain level of belief, even if it is unbelief. i am amazed when god shows up. yesterday we had our annual christmas party for church (outstanding) anyway, before that i helped wrap 167 blankets for a supportive housing organization that we partner with. we wrapped for a couple hours then transported them up there to dispense them after first serving dinner. what a blessing it was to help be jesus' hands to those who he would be hanging out with. throughout the afternoon however i think i realized that i might have been missing the point. was it for me to serve up some pie or was god meeting me face to face through the people i was serving. i find god challenging me in some of the most interesting places. when we take the time to look, god shows up.
i never knew nothing could be so interesting. hope you can reflect on nothing sometime, you might just surprise yourself.
