sunday presented our church with it's third service in our new building. we are now at a school in the wrigleyville neighborhood and it's already too small. we packed out every seat in the place, including the folding chairs set up in the isles. what an exciting time to see what god is doing in our community. some may know this but others couldn't know the difficulty that our community has been experienceing lately with issues mostly revolving around some very difficult landlords. now we are in a new place and enjoying other issues that have to be dealt with. it's been great to watch the lord work as we've looked for and found a new home for our church, and as he's guided our leadership each step of the way.
now we are at the threshhold of trying to figure out if we are supposed to plant a church or add a service or what exactly we need to do. what a great trial to be facing! our community is committed to not being exclusionary, we believe in planting churches in other neighborhoods around the city and continuing to help people find god, whereever they are in life. i'm so thankful to god for giving us this community and the opportunities to experience life with other people who are willing to admit their brokenness. my prayer is that god will continue to keep us sensitive to his leading and that in all our ways we will align ourselves with what he's doing in our neighborhood, city, and world.
check out our church by the link on the side "my church" [the site needs some updating but it will give a good introduction to our community]
