a saint

tonight my wife and i are listening to olive fleming liefeld tell her story about the path god set her and her husband pete on over 50 years ago. if these names don't ring a bell, i would encourage you to go check out the new movie: end of the spear. i'm amazed to see how god leads and works through people's lives that seem at total wreck and loss. pete gave his life for the gospel of christ and olive continued the work even through the pain of loosing her husband.

how much are we willing to give up for the cost of following christ? will we leave our town, our home, our family? will we give our very lives? life is far to short to leave "i wish i would have's". if we're serious about this walk, we'd best be willing to give it all up, it might just be asked of us... i write this as much for myself as for anyone else...
