seriously lost

so earlier this week a "mountain" lion, showed up in chicago! it was finally taken down just a couple blocks from our last apartment, in a very trendy/upscale little neighborhood called roscoe village. after studying it a bit they've come to the conclusion that this was probably a wild cat from wisconsin.

all things considered, this creature was seriously lost. first, the closest "mounain" to speak of is about 10 hours from here, there's some half decent sized hills but definitely no mountains! second, the city, while definitely qualifying as a "jungle" is the last place i'd look for one of these guys. folks back home in PA claim to have seen these beasts but most of the time it's just big bobcats with longer tails. anywho i just thought it was pretty funny, he must have come in for the abundance of food or something. the brand puma is pretty hip here so maybe he was just trying to get in on the niche market.

i guess we'll just have to chalk this one up with the deer that ran into a downtown sandwich place last year....whatcha gonna do, the city attracts all kinds!
