we got to spend 9 days in PA, visiting Philly area, NCPA (my home grounds), north western PA (seeing my brothers eco tourism business), state college area, and finally back down to shell's parents in lancaster.
we were able to visit all of our family members which was a rare treat, as we've got a lot and they're quite spread out, but we got some relaxing in too.
we got to see a ton of the countryside while traveling hither and yond but especially enjoyed time out in the mountains. watching wildlife and being reminded of the bigger world that god has created was awesome. we managed to spot a bear, elk, tons of deer, wild turkeys, and even a baby bobcat.
all in all it was an awesome trip, much needed in every sense.
even with the joy of being "home" it was good to return to the city and life with all our friends and "family" here. two different worlds for us but both very much home. in the end part of my heart will always lie in the mountains of PA but something about the city drives my soul to be on mission.
